My Arena — guide

My Arena is a game of short team matches at a fair. This guide shows you how to play your first match, how heroes and chests work, and how to win.

Getting started

When the game opens, you see the fair square. Your hero stands in the middle. At the start you own three heroes: Mirek the Warehouseman, Halina the Caretaker and Sir Bolek. You also have 50 coins and one chest.

These are the buttons that matter most:

  • Play (big and yellow, bottom right) — starts a match.
  • Mode (above Play) — choose what you want to play.
  • Heroes — the list of all characters.
  • Chests — open the rewards you earned by playing.
  • Trophies — the Trophy Road with prizes.
  • Challenge — a daily task for all players.
  • Change (under your hero's name) — pick another hero.
  • Set nickname (at the top) — type your name for the game, up to 16 characters.
  • The three-line icon (☰) — the menu with Settings, the Guide and more.

Do the training first

If it is your first time, the game offers a short tutorial in Training. It takes about a minute. When you finish it, you get 50 coins. You learn to move, hit a dummy and use your super.

Controls on a computer

  • W, A, S, D or the arrow keys — move.
  • Mouse — aim. A thin line shows how far your attack reaches.
  • Left mouse button — attack.
  • Right mouse button or E — super (when the super bar is full).
  • Q — gadget, if you have one.
  • Space — an automatic attack at the nearest enemy.
  • Keys 1, 2, 3 — team signals: "Attack!", "Defend!", "With me!".
  • Esc — pause.

Controls on a phone

The game uses two sticks. Touch anywhere on the left side of the screen and slide your finger to run. The attack is on the right side:

  • Tap — your hero hits the nearest enemy by itself.
  • Drag and release — you aim yourself. The attack flies when you let go.
  • The smaller button next to it is the super. It glows when it is ready.
  • The green button is the gadget.
  • At the top you find the team signals and pause.

The game works upright and sideways. Full screen is the most comfortable.

Your first match

  1. Press Play. The default mode is Gold Rush, three against three.
  2. Run to the middle of the arena with your team. Stay close to your friends.
  3. Attack the enemies. Every hit fills your super bar.
  4. When the super is ready, use it. The best time is when a few enemies stand close together.
  5. After the match you see the result and your rewards.

If you lose, you still get coins, Power Points and progress towards the next chest.

How it works

Energy and "poof!"

Every hero has an energy bar. Hits tire a hero out. When the energy runs out, the hero goes "poof!", waves a white flag and returns to the start after 3 seconds.

Energy comes back by itself, but only when nobody hits you and you are not attacking for a moment. So sometimes it is smart to hide and wait.

Attack, super and gadget

  • Attack. Every hero has three attack charges. They refill by themselves. Do not fire all three at once.
  • Super. A stronger move. It charges when you hit enemies. The super bar is at the bottom of the screen. "Super ready!" means you can use it.
  • Gadget. You get it at a higher hero level. You can use it three times in one match.

Each hero plays differently. Mirek lobs a carton in an arc over walls. Halina throws chalk. Nurse Ola blows bubbles that tire enemies and heal friends. Blacksmith Casey hits with a hammer up close.

Bushes, water and walls

  • Bushes hide you. Enemies cannot see you unless they stand right next to you or you have just attacked.
  • You cannot walk through water, but you can shoot over it. Only Ghost Boo-Boo can float across.
  • Walls stop most attacks. Some attacks fly in an arc and go over them, and others bounce off a wall.

Where you play

The game has nine arenas. Each looks like a place from another KakakiSoft game: Warehouse Yard, Cemetery Lane, School Playground, Hospital Garden, Lakeside Pier, Riding Ring, Pub Garden, Workshop Yard and Castle Courtyard. Each map is always the same, so you can learn it.

Coins, Power Points and trophies

After every match you get three things:

  • Coins — 20 for a win, 12 for a draw and 8 for a loss. The star of the match gets 5 more.
  • Power Points — 20 for a win, 15 for a draw and 10 for a loss. Your hero gets them.
  • Trophies — 8 for a win.

If you leave a match, you get no rewards. It counts as a loss.

Good tips

Pick a hero for your style

Read the descriptions in the Heroes list. Every card shows the hero's role, such as "long range", "control" or "support".

  • Like the middle of the fight? Take a tough one: Zenek, Bogdan, Bolek or Casey. They have lots of energy.
  • Like shooting from far away? Take Lucy, Izzy or Leon the Painter. They reach far but have less energy. Stay behind your friends.
  • Like helping? Take Nurse Ola or Doctor Wellness. They heal the team.

You can sort heroes with the buttons Trophies, Owned, A–Z and Power.

Play as a team

The team wins the match, not one player. Do a few simple things:

  1. Stay close to your friends.
  2. Do not run alone into three enemies.
  3. Use signals 1–3 to tell your team what you are doing. You can only talk with ready-made phrases, so it is safe.

Tips for pros

Grow one hero

Hero levels go from 1 to 11. Each level adds a bit of power. To level up you need Power Points and coins. The first levels are cheap. For example, level 2 costs 20 Power Points and 20 coins. Level 11 costs 1440 Power Points and 2800 coins.

What the higher levels give you:

  • From level 7 you can buy a gadget (1000 coins).
  • From level 8 you get a gear slot (1000 coins), and from 10 a second one.
  • From level 9 you can buy a star trait (2000 coins), and from 11 a second one.
  • Level 11 gives a golden frame on the card.

Example gadgets: First aid (heals at once), Dash (run faster for 2 seconds), Bubble shield (hits tire you less), Full stock (three attack charges at once), Pusher and Chicken! (turns an enemy into a chicken for 2 seconds).

Spend coins wisely

  • A new hero. A common one costs 300 coins, a rare one 750, an epic one 1500 and a legendary one 2500.
  • Power Points in the Shop. A pack is 20 Power Points for 50 coins. The daily offer is 60 for 120 coins, and you can buy it once a day.

One strong hero is better than five weak ones.

Daily tasks

In the menu you find Daily missions. These are three tasks. Each gives coins and Power Points for the hero you finish it with. New missions come at midnight.

There is also the Daily challenge. Today everybody plays the same hero at level 7, in the same mode and on the same arena. You get points for the result and for what you did in the match. The reward comes once a day: 120 coins for a win and 50 for taking part.

The menu also has Achievements (18 to earn, each gives coins) and Stats with the fair ranking. The ranking shows no nicknames.

Game modes, chests and progress

Seven modes

You choose every mode with the Mode button. Team matches last about two and a half minutes (a bit longer in 4 v 4).

  • Gold Rush. Coins pop out of the mine in the middle. Collect 10 coins (12 in 4 v 4) and hold them for 15 seconds. Whoever goes "poof!" drops their coins.
  • Fair Football. Kick the ball into the other team's goal. Attack kicks the ball, and super kicks it hard. Two goals win.
  • Goldwhisker's Safe. You defend your safe and crack the other team's safe.
  • Steal the Pennant. Grab the rivals' pennant and bring it to your base. Your own pennant must still be in place. Three captures win.
  • Save the Patient. Together push the hospital bed with the patient into your ambulance. The ambulance is on the rivals' side. The bed rolls towards the side with more players around it. Three deliveries win. When you push the bed, your hands are busy and you cannot attack.
  • Last One Dry. Everybody plays for themselves. The rain slowly shrinks the field. Energy cups from crates make you stronger. The last one dry wins.
  • Training. An empty arena with dummies. You can try every hero. There are no rewards.

A match in Save the Patient in the hospital garden: heroes push a bed with a patient, the match clock at the top

Matches with bots or friends

Bots are characters played by the game. You choose their level: No bots, Warm-up, Gentle, Normal or Fierce. Start with Warm-up and go higher later. Bots listen to your signals.

To play with friends, open Friends or Play with friends in the menu. There are two ways:

  1. Friend code. Send your code to a friend (it has 6 characters, for example K7P-2Q9). They enter it on their side, and you enter theirs. Then you can see who is playing and invite each other to a room with one tap.
  2. Room code. Create a room, share the code, and your friend presses Join.

A room holds 2 to 8 players. Bots fill free seats. The host can turn on equalised levels or a tournament of 3 or 5 matches. It works over the internet and on the same Wi-Fi.

Fair chests

You get chests only by playing. They cannot be bought, neither with coins nor with real money. There is no real money in the game.

  • A win gives 2 progress points, any other match gives 1.
  • Four points make one chest.
  • You also get chests on the Trophy Road.

To open a chest, press Chests, then tap it three times or press Open a chest. You always get coins and Power Points. Sometimes a new hero drops too. The chance of a new hero is in every chest, and by the tenth chest in a row a hero is guaranteed. You can see the exact odds under the Odds button.

The Trophy Road

You earn trophies for won matches. Each hero has its own trophies, and all of them count together on the Trophy Road. Prizes wait along the way: coins, Power Points and chests.

The road has six stages. Each looks like one place of the fair: Pier, Warehouse, School, Riding Ring, Hospital and Castle. You pick a stage with the small round buttons at the bottom. When you have enough trophies, press Claim or Claim all. At the bottom you also see how far the next chest is.

Power Points from the road go to a bank. You assign them to a hero on its card.

Watch out

  • You run alone at the enemies. Three enemies tire you out fast. Stay with your team.
  • You waste charges. You fire three times at once and then have nothing to attack with. Aim calmly.
  • You never use your super. Playing with a full bar is a waste. Use it when it is ready.
  • You hide in a bush and shoot. Once you attack, enemies can see you.
  • You spend coins on everything. Spend them on one good hero.
  • You leave the match. You get no rewards, and it counts as a loss.

Nothing bad happened if you did one of these. Try again.
